Nethack

Nethack is a dungeon crawling game which never gets boring. Venture into the dungeons with your pet to fetch the amulet of Yendor for your Deity. The game is incredibly elaborate and quite hard. This page lists some of my nethack resources and information.

Nethack 3.4.3 Sokoban levels

This file contains sokoban level definitions for the sokoban levels in Nethack. With these you can practice the levels before actually trying them in Nethack. I don't consider this cheating since you could always draw out the whole level on paper. This is just more convenient.

Instructions

Instructions on usage for XSok:

1. Make a copy of the xsok data directory (on my system it's /usr/share/games/xsok/) in your own homedir.
2. Download <a href="/data/miscellaneous/Nethack.def">the levelset</a> and place it in the xsok data directory in your home directory.
3. Run xsok with the following parameters: <code>/usr/games/xsok -xsokdir <i>[location of copy of xsok data dir]</i> -rules Nethack</code>

For other sokoban versions you'll have to figure it out yourself. Usually it's just File - Open or something.
